Woman in hospital after collision in High Street in Northleach

POLICE were called to a High Street following a collision between a pedestrian and van. 

Officers were called to High Street in Northleach at 3.45pm following a report of a collision between a pedestrian and van near to the junction for Farmington Road.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 80s, has been taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for treatment to serious injuries. Her next of kin has been informed.

The driver of the van is not believed to have sustained any injuries.

Road closures have been put into place on High Street and Farmington Road while emergency services remain at the scene with motorists asked to avoid the area.

Investigating officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to get in contact.
